ORLANDO –On behalf of the NBA’s Orlando Magic and the City of Orlando, Heritage Global Partners will conduct a public auction of the contents of the old Amway Arena on Saturday, February 12 at 10 a.m. The auction will be staged via live webcast at www.hgpauction.com and on location at Amway Arena.
“The auction of this 375,000-square-foot venue will give fans a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a part of sports history from the Orlando Magic’s old stomping ground,” said David Weiss, VP of Heritage Global Partners.
Amway Arena will be open on Friday, February 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a public preview of thousands of sports memorabilia items, which will be available for auction on February 12, including the scoreboard, lockers, autographed photographs and arena seats.
During the auction, the general public will also be able to purchase items such as restaurant equipment, concession stands, nightclub furnishings, flat screen televisions and electronics and official game jerseys from players like Bo Outlaw and Patrick Ewing. In addition, many items from inside the Magic’s locker room will be available for auction, such as framed and laminated photos, Orlando Magic player lockers, a white dry-erase board with the statistics from the 2010 NBA Playoffs, locker room carpet flooring, exercise equipment from the training area and much more.
At a later date, Heritage Global Partners will hold an auction to sell the infrastructure equipment used to support the sports and entertainment arena, such as air compressors, concert lighting equipment, security cameras, phone systems and more.

The public auction is being held at the old Amway Arena, located at 600 West Amelia Street, in downtown Orlando, Fla.
