Ross Dove – Power and Energy

We have been working hard to build industry leadership in these sectors. Last week I was at a closed coal power plant built in 1952, same year I was born. The engineer touring me said “It may look tired but it’s still running.” I said that I can relate. He then showed me a 59 year old turbine and said “This unit still has a good bit of useful life. Do you think you can find a buyer?”  I said nobody is better suited to pitch useful life at 59 but that turbine sure looks beat up.  It was after four hours of walking on planks looking down three stories.  He must have thought “Look who’s talking.”  Off to the next one – I plan  on out lasting that turbine .
