Our firm has been retained to seek an investor, partner, or buyer for Russell Johns Associates (“RJA” or“The Company”), a Florida-based Publishers’ Representative. Established in 1968, RJA provides full service advertising representation to publishers of national media in consumer, medical and professional industries. Specializing in print and online Recruitment, Direct Response and Classified advertising, RJA continually evolves and offers fresh, innovative solutions to improve publisher’s revenue stream while providing targeted and effective channels to advertiser clients.
RJA’s gross revenue grew to a high water mark in excess of $14 million in 2008. While the advertising industry has shifted and seen traditional print advertising budgets down, the staffing, infrastructure and network of advertisers are in place to rebound to those volumes in the next economic cycle through business development and new product offerings. The Company seeks a transaction to better position itself for growth and expansion and to fund an aggressive business development initiative for its online interactive job board platform (CareerCenter) and its other digital platforms and products. An opportunity is also available to purchase the 10,799 SF multi-tenant office building located within a mile of the downtown area with excellent visibility and on-site parking. Suites range in size from 624 to 2,200 SF.
PUBLISHERS: RJA provides major national publisher clients in consumer medical and professional markets with a comprehensive outsource solution for exclusive advertising representation in both print and digital products. Through their sales, production, billing, marketing and IT departments, RJA manages and produces complete print-ready advertising sections in addition to online platforms for classified and recruitment advertising. RJA’s advertising sales and operations management not only reduces overhead costs for publishers, but also broadens the canvas of revenue opportunities.
ADVERTISERS: RJA connects advertising clients with represented publisher brands in print and digital media. Advertisers work with RJA’s Advertising Specialists to create customized packages, place advertising messages in selected media, manage advertising schedules and provide overall support for each ad campaign.
PROPRIETARY ONLINE PLATFORMS: RJA has developed co-brandable online platforms for recruitment and classified advertising on behalf of its represented publishers. All platforms include multiple revenue sources including basic listings, enhancement opportunities and banner advertisements. RJA is unique in that it provides complete digital solutions and a hands on approach that operates autonomously from the publisher’s or association’s website. Most notable of the online platforms is the interactive job board branded as “CareerCenter”. CareerCenter and the classifieds platforms are easily scalable to other publishers and trade associations. There is tremendous growth potential in this area.
