James Sklar, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Heritage Global Inc. (NASDAQ: HGBL), has more than three decades of relevant legal expertise serving leading worldwide asset advisory and auction services firms. Throughout his career, Mr. Sklar has played a key role in establishing relationships with global alliance partners, implementing international contracts, and expanding the adoption of the auction sale process in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He is responsible for all of the company’s legal matters, including negotiating global transactional business alliance documents, managing relationships and contracts with worldwide clients and business partners, and providing legal representation for all of the Heritage Global companies. Mr. Sklar received a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School.
